In February 2013 Balkanleaks released the top secret Buddha police file of the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov. The documents from the Bulgarian Central Services for Combatting Organized Crime, CSBOP show that in the 90’s Borissov caught the attention of the anti-mafia police over his alleged ties with the underworld.
All documents from the file have been leaked anonymously to Bivol’s platform Balkanleaks, which is modeled on the famous WikiLeaks. The explosive file was revealed exclusively in Bivol.
Reaction to the release was swift. Bivol was subject to a massive smearing campaign in the media and a recurring DDoS attack on the site. In response to threats made against its journalists, Bivol is now releasing this insurance file. The key will leak automatically if something happens to our staff.
